Shruti Singh is undertaking a PhD at ULB, Brussels. She received a MSc in Sustainable Transportation and Electrical Power Systems awarded by Erasmus Mundus in consortium with University of Oviedo, Spain together with the University of Nottingham, UK and the University of Rome, Italy. She also holds B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from KIIT University, India. Her research interests are broadly in the field of electrical machine design and soft-magnetic composites.

She spent 16 months at Universite Libre de Bruxelles and 13 months at ICPE Bucharest working on soft magnetic composites materials modelling. She decided to leave the project before the end of her contract, due to personal matters.
